鼓楼是"南侗"地区侗寨的标志性建筑,它造型精美、结构古朴,具有很高的建筑学价值;它还集财富和人文展示、聚会议事、民俗风情以及休闲娱乐等诸多社会功能于一身,对于侗族社会的维系和进步、侗族文化的传承与发展均不可或缺,有其独特的美学内涵。
Drum Tower is a landmark building in the area of Southern Dong in Dong Tribes. A lot of social functions are embodied in Drum Tower, such as wealth and humane expression, meeting place, folk custom and entertainment. Drum Tower maintains and pushes Dong society forward. It also contribute to the inheritance and development of Dong Culture. It has its own aesthetics connotation.
