摘要
对比分析英汉两种语言在拟亲属称谓方面的异同,在一定程度上补充了现有拟亲属称谓研究及其英汉互译方法讨论方面的不足,特别指出,汉语拟亲属称谓的英语直译不会使原文所具有的亲切和尊敬的涵义丧失。
The current thesis makes a contrastive study of pseudokinship terms between Chinese and English and their translation, proposing the kinds of pseudokinship terms and methods of their translation that have been neglected by the current studies of some Chinese scholars. Special mention is made of the fact that literal translation of Chinese pseudokinship terms can retain the respect and love connoted in the original terms.
