摘要
翻译能力一直是翻译教学研究关注的重点。不同的翻译研究者从各自的理论视角出发提出了很多翻译能力的理论阐述模式,如翻译能力多种成分分析模式、基于翻译过程的翻译能力分析模式、综合模式以及最简方案模式等等。本文提出在翻译实践教学中,翻译能力就是指学生在正确的翻译观念指导下完成语际翻译任务的能力,它包括两个互相联系的方面,即双语转换能力与相关知识能力,并从反本质主义哲学的视角做了描述。这一以教学为取向的分析模式可以提示在不同阶段翻译教学中需要关注的教学重点,从而对我国现阶段类型多样的翻译教学中教师如何培养学生作为译者的翻译能力起到较为直接的指导作用。
Translation Competence(TC)is one of the foci of translation teaching studies.Scholars of translation studies proposed various theoretical models to explain or analyze it from different perspectives,including multi-componential analysis models,process-based componential analysis models,comprehensive models and the Minimalist Approach Model.The author of this paper argues that TC in translation teaching practice is actually the student's ability to complete a translation task under the guidance of correct translation concepts.The Teaching-Oriented Translation Competence described in a model proposed by the author and based on an anti-essentialist view of TC consists of two related facets:bilingual transfer competence and encyclopaedic/specialised knowledge.The author believes that a proper use of this model can highlight different priorities in different teaching stages,thus facilitating the teacher/trainer of translation.
