This paper discusses the structural features of the open - close mechanism for the coal hopper car, including ＂broadsword type＂, top - locked type, longitudinal open door and swift unloading type open - close mechanisms, analyses its acting principle and points the development direction of the open - close mechanism for Chinese coal hopper ear in the future.
