摘要
功能派目的论的理论开创了翻译策略的新视角,但历来与"直译"、"忠实"等概念无缘。事实上,功能理论仍然从属于"忠实"的翻译理论体系,是在更宏观的层次上坚持着更广义的"直译"标准。功能理论中存在着不可分割的"忠实"要素,功能派理论与直译也存在着深层的亲缘关系,二者在本质上具有一致性。
The skopostheory of functionalism in translation offers an altemative angle for translation strategies, through an approach viewed by many as independent from the literal translation method. Functionalism, however, has its place in theoretical approaches to literal translation by adhering to the criteria for literal translation, but at a much higher level. Faithfulness is essential to the functionalism approach. Functionalism and literal translation are kindred theories in a profound sense,and they are identical in essence.
