介绍图书治疗的理论、研究和应用情况，概述英美图书馆员将阅读资料用作治疗工具的实践。
Abstract Bibliotherapy,as a supplementary technique in the fields of education and mental health,is utilized widely by many professions in western countries.This article provides readers with an understanding of theoretical, research and applied aspects of bibliotherapy,and surveys the practice of American and British librarians who employ reading materials as a therapeuticmedium.The article also suggests that bibliotherapy is a new research area in both our library services and library science.
