摘要
江苏省自然环境系统特点为单一而脆弱，表现为以平原为主、水域面积较大、山地少、森林覆盖率低、生物种类少；江苏省社会环境特点为人均资源少、经济基础好、交通发达、城市密集、科技和人才优势明显；江苏省的废气、废水、固体、噪声污染日益严重。由于上述特点和原因，江苏省农业机械化、现代化程度较高、水产养殖业发达，但应进一部提高农业集约化程度和大力推广生态农业，整治环境污染，利用天然河道进一步发展养殖业；江苏省工业轻、重并举，以轻为主，应进一步进行工业内部产业结构调整，尤其对乡村工业，并发展高科技产业，大力治理污染，为工业可持续发展创造良好环境条件。
Firstly the paper dwells on the five characteristics of environment system in Jiangsu Province:simple in composition and scanty of biodiversities;low per capita possession of resources;developed agriculture & industry;flourishing transportation and sound education and technology .Then it introduces the severe environmental pollution of waste water,toxic gases,solid dumps,and noises.Secondly,it analyses their effects on the production of agriculture & industry and points out that unless the present condition of environment is ameliorated, the development of economy and improvement of people's livelihood will be retarded. Finally,it concludes that technical innovation,distributional readjustment and structural modification of industries are indispensable and that it is imminent to increase investment for the treatment of environmental pollution in Jiangsu Province.
