摘要
多能性干细胞是具有长期自我更新并产生机体内任何种类细胞潜能的特殊细胞群体。一般来讲,多能性干细胞包括胚胎干细胞、胚胎生殖干细胞和胚胎肿瘤干细胞。2006年,分化的体细胞被直接重编程而产生了一种新的多能干细胞,称为诱导性多能干细胞。多能干细胞对于再生医学、药物筛选、疾病模型及其发育生物学的研究都有重要意义。多能干细胞研究,尤其是对诱导性多能干细胞的研究发展迅猛,本文对该领域的进展进行简要的综述。
Pluripotent stem cells belong to an unique population of cells, which can self-renew indefinitely and have potential to give rise to any cell types in an organism. Generally, pluripotent stem cells include embryonic stem cells (ESCs), embryonic germ cells (EGCs), and embryonal carcinoma cells (ECCs). In the year of 2006, a new type of pluripotent stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells, is established by direct reprogramming of differentiated somatic cells. The unique properties of the pluripotent stem cells make them attractive in regenerative medicine, drug screening, disease modeling as well as study of developmental biology. The research in the field of pluripotent stem cells, in particular, of induced pluripotent stem ceils, has progressed rapidly and will be brieflyreviewed in this article.
