Alcoholic liver disease is a kind of liver damage caused by a series of lesions due to excessive intake of alcohol, which is a great threat to human health and is also a major medical problem our country is facing currently. Kupffer cells is a kind of liver macrophages, in the ALD process ,it can be stimulated by endotoxin(LPS) and oxygen free radicals, then it release a series of cytokines and inflammatory mediators, causing inflammatory response in liver cells, leading to liver damage. In this paper, there are some researches both at home and abroad for the role of Kupffer cell in the pathogenesis of alcoholic liver disease.
