摘要
目前，人们已经为面向对象数据库系统（ＯＯＤＢＳ）提出并实现了一些查询语言。由于缺少评价框架，很难对这些语言进行评价和比较。本文介绍一种比较全面的评价框架，它对已有的查询语言进行了评价，结果表明这些查询语言都没有达到所有标准。这个评价框架对于改进现有的查询语言和支持新的查询语言的设计都是有益的。
At present,some query languages have been proposed and implemented for object oriented database systems.Evaluating and comparing these languages are difficult due to the lack of a frame of reference.This paper introduces a comprehensive framework.An evaluation based on the framework reveals that many existing query languages do not meet all the criteria.The framework can also be used constructively in improving existing query languages and supporting new query language design.
