Objective : To determinate the inhibit effect of fructus schizandrae polysaccharide on mouse H22 transplanted hepatocellular carcinoma, and tentatively explore the immunological mechanism. Methods:H22 tumor beating mice were weighed and killed after the fructus schizandrae polysaccharide was gave them for 1 week. Then the tumors, spleens and thymus glands were removed to calculate tumor -inhibition rate, spleen index and thymus index. Results : ①The tumor - inhibition rate of high, moderate and low dose groups of fructus schizandrae polysaccharide treatment was 52.83 % ,28.54% and 22.39%, respectively. The difference between high dose group and moderate group with model group was extremely significant( P 〈 0. 01 )and signifi cant (P 〈 0. 05 ), the low dose group was not significant (P 〉 0.05 ). ②compared with normal group, there was no significant change on the spleen index of mice in model group, while the thymus index was significant lower. The spleen index of mice in high dose group was extremely significant higher than it in normal group and model gronp(P 〈 0. 01 ), while there was no significant difference of thymus index with model group(P 〉 0. 05). Conclusions : ①High and moderate dose of fructus schizandrae polysaccharide has inhibiting effect on mouse H22 transplanted hepatocellular carcinoma; ②High dose of fructus schizandrae polysaccharide can improve the immune function of H22 tumor - bearing mice on organic level, so as to have indirect anti - tumor effect.
