Unchecked Spreading Warning System for Wild Animal Population (USWSWAP) was developed based on the spatially explicit population model. Four scenarios for habitat area and habitat quality were set respectively according to habitat classification of Fenghuang Mountain National Nature Reserve in Heilongjiang Province, China. The effects of habitat area and quality on spatio-temporal dynamic of wild boar were simulated using USWSWAP and landscape scenarios. Resuhs showed that the number of wild boar increased gradually with the improvement of habitat area and habitat quality, but habitat quality had a limited effect on wild boar. There was a significant correlation between the number of wild boar and the patch area they lived in, and wild boar populations mainly lived in bigger patches. The block density of wild boar exhibited a non-uniform spatial distribution pattern and increased with the improvement of habitat area and habitat quality.
