摘要
专门用途英语(ESP)测试与评估是专门用途英语课程设置中非常重要的一环。然而,长期以来,专门用途英语测试与评估却未得到应有的重视。为了使广大专门用途英语教师认识到专门用途英语测试与评估的重要性及其特点,进而提高专门用途英语课程的整体效果(无论职业英语或是学术英语课程),本文试对专门用途英语测试与评估体系的重要作用及特点进行了系统的探讨和研究。
ESP （English for Specific Purposes） evaluation is a very important procedure in ESP course design. However essential it is to ESP course, ESP evaluation has been for a long time paid scarce attention to. This paper attempts to have a systematic look into ESP evaluation and testing with the hope that it can attract the attention of ESP teachers and make them aware of the importance and the specific features of ESP evaluation system. The notice of the importance and the specific features of ESP evaluation system will no doubt contribute to the efficiency of the ESP courses, both for occupational purposes and for academic purposes.
