摘要
中药功效是对中药治疗作用的高度概括，中药药理是在中医药理论指导下，用现代科学技术研究中药与机体相互作用和作用机制。绝大部分中药功效与药理是相统一的，少数情况下有时并不一致。在应用中药时，首先进行辨证，根据证型确定治疗原则。在具体选择药物时，首先选择符合中医药理论又经研究证实确有这方面药理作用的中药。少数情况下在组方时选用少量虽不符合中医药理论，但经药理证实确有治疗作用的中药，这样既未改变整方的功效，符合辨证论治原则，又可增强治疗效果。在中医药理论指导下，以中药功效作用为主，以中药药理作用为辅，二者有机的结合，必将使中药发挥更大的治疗作用。
