Objective To explore the influence of rehabilitation nursing in three-stage rehabilitation system on the quality of life(QOL) of stroke patients. Methods Sixty stroke patients were divided into experimental group and control group. Both of the two groups received grade one rehabilitation therapy and nursing at early stage as soon as their condition became stable. The experimental group continued to receive grade two rehabilitation therapy and nursing in our sanatorium at rehabilitation stage, and then went on with continued grade three rehabilitation therapy and nursing in retired army sanatorium or at home at maintaining stage. The control group underwent rehabilitation therapy and nursing and self-training at rehabilitation and maintaining stage at home. Both of the two groups were evaluated for QOL respectively at the end of each stage of rehabilitation treatments. Results The QOL scores were significantly higher at each stage of the three stage rehabilitation after rehabilitation therapy and nursing than before(P0.05 or P0.01).Significant difference in QOL scores in the control group was only observed after grade one stage rehabilitation therapy and nursing and no significant difference in QOL scores was observed in the following states of rehabilitation therapy and nursing(P0.05).Conclusion The rehabilitation nursing in three-stage rehabilitation system can markedly improve the QOL of stroke patients, and thus deserves clinical popularization.
