摘要
本文主要介绍了美国欧林工学院改革本科工程教育的具体举措。欧林工学院重新定义了创新和工程等核心概念,以"工程创新人才"为人才培养目标,融合经过改良的传统工程教育、自由艺术教育和创业教育于一体,形成了"欧林三角"这一独具特色的广义工程教育模式。作为教育实践活动轴心的欧林工学院课程体系以课程集群、开放式项目学习等为特色,兼容并蓄了学科中心课程与人本主义课程的优点。
This paper introduces the model of engineering education in Olin College. Olin College redefines the concepts of innovation and engineering, and develops a unique generalized engineering education modal named "Olin tri-angle", which aims to train engineering innovative talents, and has integrated the improved traditional engineering education, free art education and entrepreneurial education. As the core of education practices, curriculums in Olin College are featured by course clusters and open program learning as well as integrate with subject-centered and humanism-centered courses.
