This paper briefly presents the methods of integrating DBMS and IRS.Then,after introducing two prototypes of the Chinese full text retrieval system separately,a test result is given.Based on analyzing the result,we put forth an optimal schema to implement a Chinese full text retrieval system by utilizing DBMS and IRS.
