摘要
在局域网和广域网上实时传输视频、音频信息,正成为一个不断凸现的应用,同时分布式多媒体应用的发展,也给网络的研究和应用提出了新的问题。其中之一就是QoS路由,即给定QoS需求参数,寻求一条路由满足其要求,并同时优化网络资源的使用。QoS路由可以分为三类:源路由、分布式路由和层次路由。讨论了QoS路由的基本概念、原理、研究现状以及应用前景。由于IP是无连接的网络,因而也初步探讨了如何在IP中引入面向连接的QoS路由机制入其引入机制的开销和效益。
The timely delivery of digitized audio-visual information on the LANs or WANs is becoming anemerging application, which raises new challenges tothe researches and applications of the next generationbroadband networks. One of the problems is QoSRouting, which selects network routes with samcientresources for the requested QoS paramters, and triesto achieve global efficiency in resource utilization atthe same time- There are three kinds of QoS Routingalgorithms, namely source routing, distributed routingand hierarchical routing algorithms. The basic notions,principles and existing solutions of QoS Routing arepresented in this paper. IP is connectionless network,so this paPer also discusses how to introduce connection-oriented QoS Routing mechanisms into the IP environment, and its tradeoff between the costs and the benefits.
