摘要
研究在综合信息显示中字符彩色编码的视觉功效及其影响因素 .在不同的颜色背景上呈现形状相同或相似的有色字符 ,以搜索时间为指标测试和评估综合信息显示中字符彩色编码的视觉功效以及前景色、背景色、字符大小和照明条件等因素对视觉功效的影响 .研究结果表明彩色编码在缩短视觉搜索时间上比形状编码更有效 ,尤其在小字符显示时更有效 .彩色编码字符的搜索时间与字符前景和背景的颜色组合方式有关 ,一般随前景与背景之间色差的增大而减小 .
A set of color coded characters with the same or similar shapes were displayed on the backgrounds of different colors. Search time was tested as a index for evaluating visual performance of color coding for characters and parametric effects of foreground color, background color, character size and illuminant condition on the visual performance in synthesized information displays. The results show that color coding is more effective than shape coding in reducing search time, especially when the character size is small; the time needed for searching color coded characters is related to the color combination of its foreground and background, and generally decrease with the increase of color difference between them.
