Objective To study the feasibility and safety of Hardinge mini- incision total hip replacement. Methods 83 patients with Hardinge mini - incision total hip replacement were classified as research group, another 56 patients with traditional total hip replacement were classified as control group. The effect and complications were compared between 2 groups. Results The op- eration bleeding, incision length, drainage amount and postoperative pain score in the research group were obviously lower than that in the control group. 6 months after operation, the Harris score of hip joint in both of two groups were obviously higher than pre - operation, and the score in research group was obviously higher than that in control group. Conclusion Compared with the traditional operation, the Hardinge mini- incision total hip replacement has the advantages of quick recovery, small incision, less amount of bleeding, small scar and trauma, so it is worthy of popularization.
