摘要
文化在传递中往往会发生变异。这一变异的发生通常是在"不正确理解"基础上的想像与重构。这在中越"翁仲"的流传中有着典型的表现。人们误以为,越南传说中的"李翁仲"故事直接来自于中国古代神话传说中的"翁仲"和"阮翁仲"。实际上,"李翁仲"是越南人"不正确理解"中国古籍里的"翁仲"而想像创造出来的传奇人物。而出现于中国明代的"阮翁仲"也并非是中国的传说,而是源自于越南传说中的"李翁仲"。从中国古籍到越南的传说,在"翁仲"、"李翁仲"与"阮翁仲"的流传过程中,发生了很大的变异。借由"翁仲"故事的衍变这一事例,从其流变生发的模式或可以探究文化如何借助阐释、变异,终而完成重构的道路。这一事例也说明了民族文化从其诞生之时,就处于与外来文化融通创新的发展变异之中。
Culture can be transformed during the process of transmission. The transformation happens through imagination and reconstruction on the basis of misunderstanding. The legendary story of "Wengzhong", which is well known in China and Vi- etnam, represents a typical example of the process of transformation. People accepted a false idea that the legend of "Li Weng- zhong" in Vietnam was directly derived from Chinese ancient myths, such as legends of the "Wengzhong" and "Nguyen Weng- zhong". In fact, due to misunderstanding "Wengzhong" as a figure from Chinese ancient works, the Vietnamese imagined and created a legendary figure named "Li Wengzhong". "Nguyen Wengzhong" in the Ming dynasty originated from "Li Wengzhong" of the Vietnamese legend rather than the Chinese legend. The legend has been altered enormously during its transmission from China to Vietnam. The evolution of the "Wengzhong" between China and Vietnam is a special culture case. From its transforma- tive mode, the reconstruction of culture can be explored by means of interpretation and variation. The case also shows that nation- al culture, from its birth, is not only in the process of development, transformation, and innovation, but also in the process of ex- change with foreign culture.
