摘要
教育部2001年初颁发了《教育部关于积极推进小学开设英语课程的指导意见》,从而拉开了乡镇小学从三年级开始开设英语课程的序幕。英语课程的开设自然加大了英语教师的需求。当前我国新农村建设过程中英语师资建设问题也就值得我们研究。对湖北省孝昌县乡镇小学英语教师师资队伍的现状的调查研究表明,英语教师学历低,专业不对口,职称结构不合理,教学科研不积极。必须不断改善乡镇小学的办学条件,大力加强师资队伍建设,提高英语教师的整体水平,促进城乡教育资源共享,逐步提高乡镇小学英语教育质量。
Ministry of Education of China made the guiding instruction of starting English course in prx- mary schools at the beginning of 2001. The starting of English course needs more English teachers, especially in rural areas. The problem of the building of teachers in the new countryside construction deserves our research. The detailed survey of the situation of English teachers in Xiaochang County shows the existing problems concerning English teachers such as low education background, no match of specialty, inappropriate structure of technical post, poor achievements in scientific research and so on. Accordingly it is a must to improve the teaching conditions in rural primary schools, enhance the construction o{ teachers, improve English teachers＇ overall abilities and to promote the sharing of ed- ucational resources so as to improve the educational quality of rural primary English.
