摘要
"跨文化形象学"讨论国家形象在异域中的建构性表达与传递,从认识论的角度出发,可将其归结为形象建构的"镜像—溢出"效应。其中"镜像"效应针对表达,包含了"想象动机污染"、"事实无涉"、"具体情境"和"主观置信"四条原则,涉及对西方国家建构"中国形象"的分析与阐释;"溢出"效应针对传递,含有"霸权"、"形象差序"、"合谋"和"多元排除"四条原则,涉及西方"中国形象"建构在全球范围内跨国界流动的问题。这些原则源自康德的知性范畴论,在逻辑上体现层层递进的关系,为解读跨文化形象学提供明确的范畴体系。
Transcuhural studies of national images discusses in focus the constructive representation and communica- tion of national images in alien lands, a thesis that this article summarises, from the perspective of espistemology, as the ＂looking glass-spillover＂ effects of image constructs. Of these, the ＂looking-glass＂ effect refers to representation, with ＂pollution by imaginary motivation＂, ＂non-relevance to facticity＂, ＂contextual contingencies＂ and ＂subjective berredung＂ as its four pillar principles in analyses and explications of China images in the West. By way of comparison, the ＂spillover＂ effect points in the direction of communication, containing the four principles of ＂hegemony＂, ＂image approximation/dis- tanciation＂, ＂collusion＂ and ＂plurality exclusion＂ that characterise the description of the transborder flow of China images as Western constructs around the world. These principles, which should be regarded as a device of exposition, are derived from Kantian categories of Verstand, with a progressive relation from one to another. They aim to provide a coherent system of logically-related categories to interpret theorising of transcuhural representation of national images, the ＂looking-glass＂ effect, the ＂spillover＂effect.
