The debate over the diagnostic criteria for polycystic ovary syndrome

摘要 多囊卵巢综合征（polycysticovarysyndrome，PCOS）是一种复杂的内分泌代谢性疾病，由Stein和Leventhal在1935年首次提出。在近90年的研究发展过程中，其诊断一直存在争议，但即使是基于最严格的美国国立卫生研究院（NationalInstitutesofHealth，NIH）标准，PCOS在育龄期女性中的发病率也可达6％～8％，与糖尿病等常见病相近。
