伦敦"概念店"(Idea Store)引入商业零售服务观念大胆地创新了现代公共图书馆的服务模式与理念,采取一系列的举措推进图书馆服务改革,重点发展了图书馆社会教育功能,集传统图书馆、社会教育和休闲娱乐于一体,让公共图书馆更加贴近居民生活。它给我国公共图书馆发展以深刻的启示:图书馆应当不断创新自己的经营理念与机构形式,多渠道筹措资金,服务社区,贴近居民生活,以满足居民教育、文化、娱乐等多种需要。
