摘要
本文首先详细分析了基于自镜象效应的 MMI DMUX器件的基本工作原理 ,在此基础上 ,在 Ga As/Ga Al As系材料上完成了对 8信道 MMI DMUX的具体设计 .该器件的输入、输出单模波导和 SIE多模波导采用离散谱折射率法进行优化设计 ,最后获得了当输入、输出单模波导宽度为 3μm、SIE多模波导宽度和长度分别为 40 μm和 1 731 .45μm时 ,该器件对 8信道波长的隔离度为~ 2 6d B,理论传输损耗为~ 0 .2 4 d B.
It is presented a detailed theoretical analysis of MMI multi/demultiplexers basedon the self imaging effect (SIE) in multimode waveguide.Then an 8 channel wavelength multi/demultiplexer in GaAs/GaAlAs is designed.The input and output single mode waveguides and the SIE multimode waveguide are all optimized by the discrete spectral index method (DSIM).When the single mode rib waveguide width is 3μm,the optimum width and length of the SIE multimode waveguide are 400μm and 1731.45μm respectively,the wavelength isolation of the device is high as ~26dB,and the theoretical propagation loss is lower as ~0.24dB
