摘要
由于 Internet的迅速发展 ,传统图书馆正在向网络化图书馆方向转变。一般传统的图书馆自动化系统的软硬件设备包括 Unix小型机和工作站 ,大型商业化的 RDBMS(关系型数据库管理系统 )。这样的一套软硬件设备的价格比较昂贵 (比如一套 IBM DB2 v7.1数据库系统 2 0 0 0年报价是 2万多美元 ) ,对于缺乏资金的中小型的图书馆来说 ,这样的系统是可望不可及的。但是 ,随着 Internet的发展 ,许多免费软件的兴起为中小型图书馆购置图书馆自动化系统提供了机会。根据这种情况 ,我们提出了一个低成本的基于 Linux等免费软件的网络图书馆自动化方案 :中心馆
The traditional libraries are transferring into network libraries in the environment of Internet. Owing to the facilities of library automation system, such as Unix small computer and workstation, RDBMS, ... are in high prices for the middle and small sized libraries. By the rapid development of Internet, there are so many free software can be make choice for the middle and small sized libraries. This paper gives a low cost based on free software Linux as a solution of automation system of libraries.
