摘要
《交友论》是意大利耶稣会士利玛窦 1 5 95年在华编译的第一部汉文西书 ,也是明清之际由耶稣会士译著的第一部世俗内容的汉文西书。该书通过百则西方哲言的编译 ,向中国人展示了西方的友谊观。在明末清初重儒家的“四伦”而忽视友谊的伦理系统中 ,《交友论》使士大夫相信 ,在遥远的西方也有着像中国人一样对友谊的认识 ,甚至有的见解还在中国圣人的认识之上。因此《交友论》在明末清初曾被多次刊刻 ,编入各种丛书 。
As the first western book in Chinese, On Friendship was translated in China by Italian Protestant Matteo Ricci in 1595. It's also the first western book in Chinese about secular content translated by Protestants in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. It shows western friendship ideas through the translation of a hundred famous sayings of western philosophers. The Confucian “Four Ethics” was highly valued and friendship was ignored in the ethics system of the late Ming and Qing Dynasties. On Friendship told Chinese literati and officialdom that in the distant west, friendship was cherished as in China, and some ideas are brighter than those of the Chinese sages. On Friendship was published many times and included in a variety of collections. It's an important source of thought for changes in Chinese thought and ethics.
