摘要
对圆芯和内外包层都为手征介质构成的双包层手征光纤 (W型 )进行了解析求解 ,导出了模式场解及模式特征方程 ,然后用数值计算的方法研究了手征参数对模式的色散曲线和截止频率的影响 ,结果发现在双包层光纤的纤芯中引入手征或在单包层光纤的包层中引入手征 ,都可以实现单模工作。
Analytical solutions of a double cladding (W type) chiral optical fiber which both core and claddings are chiral media have been presented. The solutions of guided modes and modal characteristic equation are derived. The effects of chirality on dispersion curves and cut off freqencies of guided modes are studied by numerical method.The single mode operation can be supported by using chiral core material in the double cladding optical fiber or using chiral cladding material in the single cladding optical fiber.
