摘要
在西方文献中 ,“现代性”以及与其密切相关的“现代”、“现代主义”、“现代化”等词都是一些歧义颇多的概念 ,这些词在词义上有时不仅互不相同甚至还完全相反 ,常常令人困惑不已 ,不知所从。本文以西方有关文献中的资料为基础 ,对这些概念的涵义进行了仔细的梳理和辨析 ,试图厘清人们的分歧所在 ,为读者更好地阅读和理解这些文献提供某些帮助。
Puzzles and misunderstandings often arise in reading literatures on “modernity” due to the confusion of the meanings of such words as “modern”, “modernity”, “modernism”, and “modernization”. The purpose of this paper is to differentiate and analyze the implications of these words based on the textual material drawn from many relative literatures.
