The factors which influence densification of traditional normal pressure carbonization processing used in carbon carbon composites were investigated. Research results show that the densification efficiency is influenced by carbonization pressure,fabric structure, material size,material density, carbonization cycles and etc. By improving the processing and equipments, densification efficiencies of pitches are significantly increased,some are even increased by more than 2 times.
