摘要
与很多发展中国家一样,中国的城市发展也面临着传统与现代之间的紧张关系这个历史性难题,具体表现为文化遗产与城市复兴的紧张关系问题。笔者强调指出,不能使用"传统—现代"二分法来分析文化遗产与城市复兴之间的关系,因为文化遗产与城市复兴之间不是简单的"二元对立"关系,还包括了"并存"、"联结"等多元的关系。笔者对"文化保守主义"既批评又继承,试图基于马氏静态的、古典的"文化功能论"和费氏的"文化开发利用观",提出一种动态的、新古典的"新功能主义"观点,即把老字号、老商街视为文化遗产,从其在城市复兴中的新价值角度,探索文化遗产的新功能与城市复兴之间的关系。老字号、老商街既是城市遗留下来的宝贵文化遗产,也是城市经济社会结构的重要组成部分。调查研究显示:老字号、老商街作为文化遗产在城市复兴中体现出来了几种不同类型、不同层次的新功能。在城市复兴的经济社会转型中,文化遗产必须要有新功能,才能够有存在和发展的新价值。
Like in many developing countries, in China urban development we also faced with the historical problem a tense relation between tradition and modernity, in particular, the tense relation between cultural heritage and urban revival. The author emphasized that the dichotomy of "tradition-modemity" has not been used in this paper, because the relation between cultural heritage and urban revival is not only the "binary opposition" relationship, but also includes multi-relations such as "coexistence" and "connection". After criticized and inherited cultural conservatism, based on Malinowski’s classic & static "cultural functionalism" and Fei Xiongtong’s "idea of cultural development and utilization", the author made up a new classic & dynamic theory of "new functionalism", which took both old brands and old business streets as a whole cultural heritage, and analyzed the relation between cultural heritage and urban revival through the new value of cultural heritage in urban revival. Our investigation showed that old brands and old business streets as cultural heritages have worked by different patterns and levels of functions in urban development In the process of social-economic transformation, only if the cultural heritages have their own new functions, they would gain new value for their coexistence and development.
