The synthetic technology and structural identification of anti-colitis drug mesalazine were reported. The process of technology included diazotization, diazo coupling reaction and reduction. The total yield was 60 %,the purity of mesalazine ≥99.0 %. The structure was confirmed by elemental analysis, UV, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and MS.
