In order to analyze the influence of damage pattern, and the scheduled temperature and duration on the feature of the glass traces, the microstructures of the damaged glassed were investigated.Sheet glass and tempered glass damage traces were prepared by simulating the indoor fire scene using fire traces comprehensive evidence experiment board and chamber electric furnace, and the microstructure of the glass traces were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM).The results showed that the tempered glass and sheet glass revealed different mechanical damaged microstructure, the fault traces of tempered glass are more compact distributed and the crack is deeper; while the sheet glass crack is obvious with sharp edges and corners, simultaneously, the typical "Y" glyph distribution with branch structure was observed in sheet glass. The influence of temperature on the microstructure of glass is different for mechanical damage or heat damage, and the effect is more remarkable for mechanical damage, bow grain characteristics will be lost when the mechanical damaged sheet glass reheated. The fault traces of tempered glass become looser and more obvious as the environment temperature increased.
