摘要
提出一个高效的从单幅二维书法图像生成三维碑刻或牌匾的算法.首先在输入书法作品图像中检测出书法文字区域,然后在这些区域计算二维欧式距离场.根据事先定义的书法文字雕刻模式(阴刻、阳刻、阴阳刻)调制距离场获得三维文字表面初始估计,对宽大牌匾字还可进一步调整距离场函数进行表面估计.接着采用高斯模糊光滑文字表面,最后叠加上背景区域高度和高频细节信息,生成三维书法碑刻或牌匾的高度图.文中的算法能够快速生成高质量的三维书法碑刻以及牌匾效果,作者用行书、隶书、草书、篆字等书法作品进行实验,效果令人满意.
A method for generating virtual 3Dinscriptions on stone or wooden plaque from 2D images of Chinese calligraphy is proposed.In this approach,we first detect regions of calligraphic words in the input images,and then calculate the distance fields in those regions.Based on predefined inscription modules including Yang(convex)inscription,Yin(concave)inscription and combination of Yang and Yin inscription,we estimate the corresponding initial surfaces of calligraphic words.For bigger words with thick widths in strokes appearing in wooden plaque we use modified height in the previous modules to estimate their word surfaces.Those estimated word surfaces are smoothed by a Gaussian filter and the resultant surfaces are finally rendered with stone or paint textures.Our method is able to generate high quality 3Dinscriptions of Chinese calligraphic words at a fast speed,which are evidenced by the examples given in the paper.Compared with existing computer aided generation of 2DChinese inscriptions on wooden plaque,our work is the first attempt to generate virtual 3DChinese inscriptions on stone and wooden plaque.
