摘要
高等学校担负着培养社会主义事业建设者和接班人的重任。加强和改进思想政治工作以及实施素质教育是高校贯彻落实“三个代表”，完成肩负的历史重任的关键。本文在深入调研的基础上，分析新时期高校思想政治工作和素质教育面临的机遇和挑战，提出在新形势下高校加强和改进思想政治工作、实施素质教育的创新思路和措施。
Universities and colleges shoulder heavy tasks of training buiders and successors for the socialist construction.Enhanciag and improving ideological and political work and carrying out the quality-oriented education is key for the uniuersities to implement and put into effect“Three Representations” and to perform the historical mission.On the basis of thorough investigation,the paper analyses the chances and challenges faced by universities in ideological and political work of quality-oriented education.At the same time,it also puts forth the initiative ideas and measures taken by universities in enhancing and improving the ideological and political work in carrying out the quality-oriented education.
