A Review of Process Approach in ESL Writing

摘要 英语写作过程教学法产生于上世纪70年代末,它以交际理论为理论基础,从过去只关心学习者写出了什么转移到现在的以学生为中心,关心学习者如何写出的具体过程上来;它强调多稿多改的写作过程和评阅阶段的师生交互,借此以培养优秀的英语写作者。但过程教学法并不完全适合中国学生的英语写作实际,所以其在中国未来的发展需要结合中国英语学习者的实际进行进一步地探索和实践。 Process approach,as contrasted with product approach,is now a term that is used a lot,but not everyone is clear on what it means. Accordingly,this paper makes a comprehensive review of its background,steps,major features and its insufficiencies in practice. Besides,it also suggests the orientation to reduce its negative effects and promote its maximal perfection in ESL writing.
