摘要
翻转课堂可利用现代信息技术提供语言输入供学生自主学习,为课堂输出活动的开展提供了更多机会,对提升大学英语教学绩效具有极大潜力。但大学英语翻转课堂该如何设计和开展,目前还处在探索阶段。本文汇报一项大学英语翻转课堂的教学设计与实践。问卷和访谈显示翻转课堂教学模式得到学生高度认可,翻转课堂设计带来的读写练习量、及时反馈和深入讨论促进了学生的语言习得和思维发展,网上学习材料方便学生自主学习,协作输出提高了学生参与度。文章也对实践中遇到的一些问题进行了分析和反思。
With the enhancement of language input via ICT, a College English course can achieve better efficiency with more output learning activities in classroom. This paper reports a flipped College English classroom experiment, which blends online lectures, exercises and communication with interactive class activities. Survey results show that the flipped model is highly evaluated by students. Three embedded features of a flipped class—effective language use, prompt feedback, and in-depth discussion—are identified as factors which promote both language proficiency and thinking skills. It is also observed that team-based in-class output activities help to motivate students. Reflections and discussions on online lecture videos are also presented.
