制造业企业产品市场竞争、组织冗余与技术创新 被引量:51

Product Market Competition of Enterprise in Manufacturing Industry,Organizational Slack and Enterprise Technology Innovation

摘要 当前对产品市场竞争与企业技术创新关系的探讨多基于宏观视角的市场结构研究,本文从创新动机和创新能力两方面,针对制造业产业发展现状,建立了产品市场竞争对制造业企业技术创新的影响机制,并考虑了制造业企业内部冗余资源的情境效应。以2007年-2012年上市公司为对象的面板数据实证结果表明:制造业企业面临的产品市场竞争与企业技术创新存在倒U型关系,即产品市场竞争到达最优临界值之前对技术创新具有推动作用,但当产品市场竞争演变为过度竞争时反而会阻碍技术创新。企业持有的冗余资源对两者之间的倒U型关系具有情境效应,但这种情境效应只反映在非沉淀性冗余方面,而不是沉淀性冗余。 The current study about the relation between product market competition and enterprise technology innovation mostly focuses on the research of market structure from the macro perspective. According to the situation of the development of Chinese manufacturing industry, this paper establishes an influencing mechanism between the two from two aspects of innova- tion motivation and innovation ability, and takes the context effect of enterprise's internal slack resources in manufacturing in- dustry into consideration. The empirical result based on the panel data of Chinese listed company from 2007 to 2012 indicates that there is an inverted U-shape relation between product market competition of enterprises in manufacturing industry and en- terprise technology innovation. Namely, product market competition has a positive impact on technology innovation before reac- hing the optimal critical value, but when it evolves into excessive competition, the impact will become negative. The slack re- sources held by enterprise have an context effect on the inverted U-shape relation, but this kind of effect only lies in unfixed slack rather than fixed slack.
