语言障碍与隐性区隔:以一所东部高校的维吾尔族学生为个案 被引量:6

摘要 接受高等教育是少数民族融入主流社会的重要途径,但是这一过程中也可能产生隐性区隔。本文以一所东部高校的维吾尔族大学生为个案,通过访谈和参与式观察了解其语言适应状况和内在差异以及由此产生的隐性区隔。小学到高中阶段,通过教学语言、分校分班授课以及内地班招生等,在教育制度层面形成显性区隔;进入大学后显性区隔在一定程度上被消解,但语言障碍仍存在,不同家庭背景、社会阶层、教育经历的维吾尔族学生之间也有明显差异。对一些来自较低阶层、乡村地区及刚进入内地读书的维吾尔族学生而言,语言障碍犹如一道屏障,一定程度上产生了群体之间的隐性区隔。 Receiving higher education is an important channel for minority students to enter the mainstream of society, but there exists an invisible segregation. This paper focuses on the language barrier and its inherent differences through interview and participant observation based on a case study of Uygur college students at an Eastern university. From primary school to senior high school, there exists a visible segregation in educational system caused by pedagogic language, group teaching, and enrollment of inland classes. To some degree, the visible segregation is eliminated after entering college. But language barrier still exists among Uygur students from different family, social and educational backgrounds. For those students from lower social class, rural areas and non inland Xinjiang classes, language barrier is just like an impassable barrier which leads to an invisible segregation to some degree.
