Objective To investigate the characteristics and drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria in patients with central venous catheter-related sepsis (CRS). Methods 60 patients with CRS were enrolled in this study from December 2015 to December 2016, and the patients were treated with intravenous catheterization and drug sensitivity test. Results The common pathogens of CRS were Gram-positive bacteria (67.3%), Fungi (19.2%) and Gram-negative bacteria (13.5%). Gram-positive bacteria have high sensitivity to vancomycin, and gram-negative bacteria are highly sensitive to imipenem. Conclusion Pathogenic bacteria in patients with central venous catheter-related sepsis are mainly Gram-positive bacteria, which can be effectively prevented by reducing the catheterization time of central venous catheters.
