家具有自身特有的功能意义,包括物质功能意义和精神功能意义两个方面。在此基础上,通过床屏的功能研究,找出床屏自身特有的物质功能意义是满足人体背部依靠的舒适性,有合理的尺寸和倾角,床屏的形状要符合背部曲线。再从材料、色彩、装饰三个方面探讨了床屏的艺术功能意义。木质床屏自然、生动,金属床屏光洁、挺拔。皮革和织物给予了床屏温暖。床屏色彩设计因人而异。雕刻丰富了床屏的艺术内涵。床屏作为卧室的视觉中心,为烘托卧室气氛而服务。
