摘要
为了建立海底光缆在接近海底环境下的耐磨性评估方案,基于传统的"平面磨损"法,设计了新的海底光缆试验装置,研究了海底光缆高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)护套在模拟海水环境下的耐磨性能,并对其使用寿命进行了估算。结果表明:新设计的海底光缆磨损测试装置性能稳定,可靠性较好,可用于海底光缆耐磨性能的初步验证。在试验设计的环境条件下,试样外径尺寸与循环摩擦次数基本上呈线性反比关系,海水在一定程度上起到了润滑作用。5 mm厚的HDPE外保护层可以承受超过10万次的摩擦磨损循环,即使考虑水压、腐蚀等的作用,海底光缆的寿命也能满足使用要求。
The work aimed to establish an evaluation scheme for the abrasion resistance of submarine fiber optic cables in the similar submarine environment. A new submarine fiber optic cable testing device was successfully designed based on the traditional "plane wear" method. The wear resistance of high density polyethylene (HDPE) outer sheath of submarine fiber optic cable was studied and its service life was estimated. Results showed that the abrasion resistance test device of submarine fiber optic cable had good stability and reliability, and could be used for the preliminary verification of the abrasion resistance of submarine fiber optic cable. Under the testdesigned environmental conditions, there was a linear inverse proportion of the outside diameter size of the sample to the number of friction and wear cycles. It was proved that seawater played a lubricating role to a certain extent in the test-designed environmental conditions. The HDPE outer sheath with a thickness of 5 mm could withstand the friction and wear cycles for more than one hundred thousand times. Even considering water pressure and corrosion, the lifetime of submarine fiber optic cable could also meet the service life requirements.
