摘要
本研究关注转基因技术和食品添加剂的使用等科学争议性议题,系统实证地描摹了我国网民对科学争议议题的态度,并探讨其如何受到社会文化因素影响。通过1843份网络调查问卷,本文发现:公众对转基因技术的支持度较为中立,呈负面倾向。对转基因药品的接受度高于转基因食品。公众对食品添加剂的使用总体呈正面态度。研究发现,社会文化因素中的宿命论观念和生物进化论的支持度对科学争议的态度影响最显著,在两个议题中均呈现正相关;而具有广阔文化传统土壤的中医文化对科学争议态度的影响只在转基因技术的议题中显著相关。其次具有较大影响的是家庭结构因素,即家庭成员数量与对科学争议的态度显著相关,家庭中孩子的数量与对转基因技术的态度负相关。另外,人口统计学特征的解释力较弱,只有地域分布对科学争议的态度具有显著影响。东北地区的人们更不支持转基因技术,中部地区的人们更不支持食品添加剂的使用。
This study focuses on GM technology and food additives, describes Chinese netizens' support toward the two scientifically controversial topics in China, and examines the influence of sociocultural factors on their knowledge and attitude formation. A survey of 1843 respondents found that the public holds neutral and slightly negative attitude toward GM technology; the acceptance of GM drugs is higher than that of GM foods. The support for food additives is positive. Fatalism and beliefs in theory of evolution are positively correlated with the public's support for both controversial topics, while beliefs in traditional Chinese medicine is only correlated with support for GM foods. Number of family members is positively correlated with support for both topics. Number of children is negatively correlated with support for GM technology. The influence of demographics is trivial, only the geographical area is found to be a significant factor influencing the public's attitude towards scientific controversies.
