摘要
城市是一流大学产生和生长的沃土,市场自发形成以及教会和政府主动创建的一流大学多依托于城市。一流大学是引领城市发展的大树,她可以催生城市,丰富城市生态,提升城市魅力,引领城市走向世界,促使城市基业长青。社会捐赠、政府支持、理念创新和大学系统是少数一流大学能适当远离城市的奥秘。经济竞争、战争和大国兴衰引发的城市没落,极有可能葬送一流大学的辉煌。中国建设世界一流大学要抓住城市化进程中的现实问题,构建"大学-政府-企业-社区"的互利共生机制。
Cities are fertile soil for world-class universities to generate and develop. Most world-class universities, no matter developed by themselves in market or established by church and government, are based on cities. World-class universities are big trees that lead to the development of cities. They can perfect the developm.ent of cities, enrich the ecology of cities, promote charm of cities, lead internationalization of cities, and promote sustainable development of cities. Social donation, government support, concept innovation and university system are profound secrets that a few world-class universities can be apart from cities appropriately. Decline of cities caused by economic competition, war and the rise and fall of the great powers is highly possible spell an end to glory of world-class universities. In China, to establish world-class universities, we have to grasp reality question in urbanization and set up ＂university-government-enterprise-community＂ symbiotic mechanism.
