Objective To evaluate the clinical value of recombinant human epidermal growth factor for external use combined with Mebo wound and ulcer dressing in the repair of soft tissue defect of finger pulp. Methods A total of 64 patients with soft tissue defects (no tendon and bone exposure) who were unwilling to undergo surgery during the period from February 2016 to February 2017 were collected from the Department of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Yan'an University Hospital. They were randomly divided into 2 groups. The control group was treated with ordinary iodophor Vaseline gauze. The observation group was treated with recombinant epidermal growth factor combined with wound dressing and dressing to observe the granulation tissue, epidermal growth and wound healing. Results The healing rate of the observation group was 100%, and the healing rate of the control group was 100%, the difference was not statistically significant (P〉0.05). The complete healing time of the observation group (11.31+3.52) d was shorter than that of the control group (14.23+3.11) d, and the difference was statistically significant (P〈0.01). Conclusion The application of recombinant human epidermal growth factor for external use combined with Mebo wound and ulcer dressing in the treatment of superficial soft tissue defect of the finger pulp is of high value. It can promote wound healing, and has good clinical efficacy. It is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
