摘要
期待视域既是阅读理解得以可能的基础,又是其限制。西方读者对科技典籍的期待视域建立在西方现代科学哲学基础之上。这个期待视域使得他们在学科领域、译作标题以及译作的文本内容等维度对中国科技典籍的译文文本产生了特定的期待。国内译者应该根据西方读者的期待视域建构科技典籍的翻译文本。翻译文本应该具备明确的学科领域,直接明示主题的标题的典型科技文本。
Horizon of expectation in reading activities lays the foundation as well as demarcating the boundary for comprehension.On the basis of modern scientific philosophy western readers construct their horizon of expectation towards scientific classics,which in turn contributes to their specific expectation（in three dimensions of subject,titles and text contents） towards the English translation of Chinese scientific classics.Native-Chinese translators of Chinese scientific classics should construct their original texts in accordance with this specific expectation and turn out translations which have distinct subjects,to-thepoint titles and typical scientific texts.
