An investigation on insect pests of bamboos was made in Baishuijiang Natural Reserve of Gansu during 1997～2001. More than a thousand samples of 204 species were collected, which belong to 44 families,6 orders. Among them,69 species of insect pests of bamboos are newly recorded in Gansu province. All specimens are deposited in the Department of Reseach,Baishuijiang Natural Reserve.\;
