摘要
金东北路与临潢府路长城,是女真人为防御蒙古等游牧势力,而建筑的军事防御工程。金朝先后设置东北路招讨司和临潢府路总管府,来管理东北路和临潢府路金长城。金东北路招讨司的设置是由金初沿袭辽朝乌古迪烈统军司而置的。临潢府路总管府的设置是改辽上京临潢府为金上京临潢府而置的。金东北路招讨司和临潢府路总管府的设置,先后几易其名和治所变更,始终为金朝重要的军事管理机构,为金长城的建筑与管理,以及金代边疆的治理与稳定,发挥了重要的作用。
