祁志祥教授的《中国美学全史》是我国学术界第一部完全由个人独立完成的关于中国美学发展从先秦到现代到21世纪初的当代"全史",是一项超大规模的学术工程。在作者几十年如一日的积累、追求、付出下,中国美学历史的脉络延续和琳琅满目得以清晰、丰满地显现出来,充分展示了中华美学历史的源远流长、思想的博大精深、魅力的丰富多彩。它为我们深刻领会"中华美学精神"的丰富内涵,促进文艺创作的繁荣和民族特色的建构,提供了重要的历史资源。
The important academic significance of Professor Qi Zhixiang’s General History of Chinese Aesthetics lies in that it is the first “General History” of the Chinese Aesthetic Development from the Pre-Qin Dynasty till to the beginning of the 21st Century,which is completed by an individual in the academic circles of our country.It is an unprecedented academic “big project”.With the author’s devotion for decades,the continuation of the history of Chinese aesthetics and its dazzling beauty are clearly and abundantly displayed,which fully demonstrates the long history of Chinese aesthetics,the profound thoughts and the rich and colorful charm of Chinese aesthetics.It provides us with an extremely important historical resource to deeply understand the rich connotation of “Chinese aesthetic spirit” and to promote the prosperity of literary and artistic creation and the construction of national characteristics.
